A challenging parcel near woodlands that has finally yielded a wine of remarkable sweetness and unexpected depth. Partially destemmed, aged in oak barrel and amphora.
The Terroir
L'Ouche de la Maison is an estate monopoly parcel, north-facing at Aluze, very close to woodlands. This proximity grants it remarkable biodiversity—but also challenges: the parcel attracts wildlife (deer, wild boar) that appreciate quality grapes. Over time, we've come to master this difficult parcel.
This first vintage from our refined management reveals a wine of rare sweetness and depth, redefining what this parcel can offer.
